Seminar-Workshop cum General Assembly at BSU

The Seminar-Workshop on Upgrading Proficiencies for Information Documentation and Sharing and the 2nd General Assembly were held on February 24-25, 2011 at the Benguet State University, ATI and ICT Halls. The speakers/resource persons and their topics were: Pres. Rogelio Colting, BSU (Welcome address), Dr. Nicomedes Eleazar, DA-BAR (keynote address); Dr. Jose Ma. Pangilinan, SLU (Web 2.0), Mila M. Ramos, PRC-BFL (Agricultural information sources on the web); Ryan Joseph Abrigo (Infolib demo); Dr. Gerard Sylvester, FAO-RAP (FAO's information sources), Prof. Raymund Pawid, BSU (Team building), Julia Lapitan, DA-BAR (PhilAgriNet, Lea Delos Reyes, Connie Saul, Bernardo Navallo, and Carmelita Austria (WebAGRIS). 26 participants representing various agricultural institutions and DA agencies attended the seminar-workshop.
The 2nd General Assembly took place on the second day. A survey of accomplishments, constraints and plan was conducted. The election of officers followed all the activities. The following will be at the helm of PhilAgriNet:

PhilAgriNet hopes to capture the literature output of member institutions into a central database which will give access for researchers worldwide.
